Dungarees

denim river island dungarees

I love, love, love being able to dress lighter already! And it's only the beginning of March! London has been spoiling us with some pretty high temperatures lately and I am obsessively checking my iPhone weather app to make sure it's not going to change. So far so good.

I have already started a process of switching my winter wardrobe with the spring/summer one and guess what was one thing I forgot I have? My favorite denim dungarees! I got them last year and didn't have enough time to get used to their presence before it got cold and I couldn't walk with my bare ankles any longer. So this season I have plenty of different ideas on how to style them and this look is just the beginning.

For this outfit I felt like mixing bright prints (it can be tricky sometimes, so my advice is to be bold and brave). And this oversized scarf just added some more coolness to the entire look.

By the way, have you seen my interview where I share my fashion tips and talk about new Look Again collection? You can watch it HERE.

PS.  My Mom is coming to London today! I am a happy girl xx

The Secret of the Coat

how to wear a coat

There can never be too many coats! That's what I thought when an Australian label, Finders Keepers, suggested I select one thing I liked the most from their new collection. And I was completely right because it turned out to be just perfect. It's secret is in the collar that can be transformed at least three different ways, every time creating a whole new look to an outfit. And its leather sleeve detail is adding the right amount of chic and edge to the look. I am very excited to see how this coat will work with all the different styling options I have planned for it and I have a feeling that it will be my go-to item this spring.

Have a wonderful weekend guys and don't forget to eat some pancakes! xo

London Fashion Week, February 16th (Part I)

So here is what I wore yesterday to the shows at Savoy and Tate Modern. I love playing with outfits during fashion week as it's the time to dress up and experiment. I have always loved this skirt/bomber combo on other people, but have never tried wearing it myself. So I'm glad I had an excuse to do it yesterday.

Scroll through the post to see a couple of pictures from the shows and make sure you follow me on Instagram (@juliashutenko) to see all instant updates.

Also as the title of this post suggests there is a Part II from yesterday coming. Look out for my second look of the day later today xo

Under My Umbrella

It's not exactly easy to shoot a blog right now, giving that everyday is super rainy and super windy in London. And I am not one of those people who isn't affected by the weather. I prefer to observe the wet and unwelcoming autumn situation from the comfort of my flat, with a huge cup of tea in my hands and a good read. But, once in a while, rain can become a reason to do something different and fun. And all thanks to the must have autumn accessory - an umbrella! I have been waiting to bring out this eye catching prop for a while now and had no idea how much of a mood booster something like this can be.

Aware that the umbrella will be a definite pop of colour in this shoot, I have chosen to wear this Finders Keepers black and white dress to keep a nice balance between the two. As I have previously mentioned (here and here) I love the cut and the design of the brands' dresses. This particular one is perfect for the autumn with its colour, print and slightly thicker material.

What makes you feel cosy during rainy days? Let me know
xx

Park Life

London is always a perfect backdrop for pictures and the only difficulty is actually making up your mind and choosing one out of so many options. This time I wanted to catch the beautiful colours of  nature before the leaves start to fall and green starts to fade. Regent's Park is known to be one of the most colourful London's parks and it didn't disappoint even in the end of September.

You might have recognised the print of this skirt from one of my previous posts. Both pieces come from the Strange Love collection by Finders Keepers. It's such a fun and versatile brand so make sure you keep an eye on it! Both pieces that I am wearing in this post have such an unlimited styling potential. The turtleneck can work perfectly with any type of trousers, jeans or skirts and the skirt can be paired with a bomber or biker jacket, blazers and t-shirts. The way I have paired them is an unusual choice for me, but I love trying new things and get very excited when my experiments actually work!

I wish you all happy Monday and come back for more updates very soon xx
