Summer Blues

Hello lovely people! It's Friday and I bet all of you have something nice planned for the weekend - whether it's traveling, partying or just chilling in front of TV. I'll definitely be watching some football and entertaining my baby Diego. He is a tiny, two months old kitten who joined our family on Monday. Since then my days have been filled with kitten activities, making sure he is getting used to his new home, litter training (successfully!) and keeping him happy and safe. I've had lots of half slept nights since Monday as Diego is up at 5am every morning for an hour, biting and scratching everything near him (including me) before finally going back to sleep around 6am. As for this outfit, blue has always been topping the list of my favourite colours. This look is just another proof of that. London is warm right now and this Sundry light dress is perfect for the weather. Its' colour makes me happy every time I look at it and it's definitely going to be a go-to piece this Summer. And how cool are these Oxydo sunnies? Again, this blue is to die for and I can't stop wearing them.

White and Denim

Hey guys! Just a quick outfit post from the sunniest London. Hope everyone is having an amazing Sunday! I had the best time with Mom and we were so lucky with this weather. It's been so warm that I kept wondering whether I'm still in London or on some exotic vacation (check my Instagram for the proof @juliashutenko). Fingers crossed this weather is here to stay.

This outfit is my version of a casual smart look that would have been completely classic if it wasn't for the boyfriend jeans and the oversized cut of the shirt. Ear cuff brought a bit of an edgy feeling to the whole thing which I am such a fan of. These red heels that I brought back from New York a couple of seasons ago keep doing their job and making me feel chic no matter what I am wearing them with. All in all, this is a great outfit for both work days and weekends.

How To Wear: Stripes

Hi guys! Today I want to talk about stripes and how to wear them. 

Stripes (especially horizontal) can be tricky and they can play a bad joke on you. When choosing a stripy top, dress or trousers think about your body type and be careful not to 'cut' your body in wrong and weird places. Remember that horizontal stripes are likely to make you look wider and bigger than you actually are while vertical ones will do just the opposite and will visually slim you down. That said if you wear a monotone (black in my case) coat or jacket, horizontal stripes become less of a danger. 

For my outfit I decided to go monochrome and minimalistic. A simple look like this needs the right choice of accessories to breath more life into it. I added a bit of a grunge feeling with the studded biker boots and an oversized chain necklace.

Black and More

Sometimes all you need is some mid November sun, good set of stairs, black mirrored sunglasses and almost entirely black outfit to feel good about a rather ordinary week day. I have worn this ensemble for a full day of meetings and a whole lot of running around. Even though my initial idea included heels, I've been quickly reassured that the flats were the way to go. It just never seems realistic to spend the entire day of walking in heels without sacrificing my feet.

Shades of Autumn

Autumn is beautiful. Everywhere I look there is another shade of green, yellow or red making me stop and admire the view. So I couldn't resist to try and pick the outfit that would complement these colours of nature. 

If you would ask me a year ago I would say that red and burgundy shouldn't be worn together and yet here I am risking it and pretty satisfied with the result. I have paired this look with the neutral coloured sunglasses and a black box bag aware that adding more colour would most likely be an overdose. All in all, I felt like I have merged into the autumn background just right.
