Brands I Love and Relaunch News

Big news! This is going to be the last post on this version of Julia Shutenko blog and next time I upload something you are going to be introduced to the new design and ... new name of the blog! There's been a lot of changes happening in my life and it's only natural that my blog has to catch up and change along. It's not going to be just an update of the current version - it's going to be a major step up which will hopefully make your experience on my website much more interactive and better. I am going to launch with the most important and personal post I've ever done and I honestly can't wait. And guys, I think all of that might happen in just 2 days! So roll on Sunday!

But for now I hope you enjoy this post from last week. London has so much to offer in terms of locations and stunning backdrops. We shot this while strolling through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park and even though I've been there many times before I have never noticed this beautiful building that is just asking to be photographed.

Also you have probably noticed how often I wear Sundry tops and dresses as well as Genetic jeans. What can I say, these two brands are killing it with perfection!

Have a nice Friday and join me on Sunday for a whole new journey!

Birkenstocks

After months of resisting the trend I have finally welcomed myself into the Birkenstock family. And I'm glad I did because my feet are so comfortable in them that I wish I converted earlier. So what was planned to be a shopping trip for some new simple sandals unexpectedly ended up with two pairs of his and hers Birks (Patrik actually started the whole thing). I felt brave and edgy and it's so funny how what was forever considered as the most unadventurous and unflattering shoe suddenly takes guts to wear. For a long time I said to people that no one managed to sell the Birks trend to me, none of the editorials, bloggers or models did it for me. Then something clicked inside my brain and my attitude changed. I love when this happens! It's nice to be more open minded. Now I'm just worried that I'll ruin their perfect whiteness so I'm taking great care while wearing them.

I'll show you many more ways that you can style Birkenstocks soon as I'm quite excited to see them in action myself. All my other shoes have respectfully made some space in the closet for the Birks and they are proudly waiting to be walked again.

Now go watch some football and have a great weekend! xx

Maxi

Hi Monday! Hi guys! How was your weekend? We've had such warm and sunny days here in London recently. I spent all day yesterday tanning in the park, watching football, eating ice-cream and of course babysitting Diego. Purrrfect weekend!

I wore this SUNDRY maxi dress to visit our friend's allotment. It's located just 10 minutes walk from Highgate station and, once there, you forget that you are still in the city. I am quite a gardener myself so to see so many flowers, fruits, berries and veggies excited me a lot. It felt like I'm back home at my Grandma's gardens.

This outfit is perfect for a day out like this one. Since I discovered SUNDRY I can't get enough of their effortlessly cool Californian style. And I still have a couple more SUNDRY things to show you.

Hopefully this week I can give you a more exact date of my RELAUNCH. Sooooo excited and can't wait! Stay with me guys and you will have a totally new experience on my blog soon!

Have a great week! xo

Summer Blues

Hello lovely people! It's Friday and I bet all of you have something nice planned for the weekend - whether it's traveling, partying or just chilling in front of TV. I'll definitely be watching some football and entertaining my baby Diego. He is a tiny, two months old kitten who joined our family on Monday. Since then my days have been filled with kitten activities, making sure he is getting used to his new home, litter training (successfully!) and keeping him happy and safe. I've had lots of half slept nights since Monday as Diego is up at 5am every morning for an hour, biting and scratching everything near him (including me) before finally going back to sleep around 6am. But I am so happy we have him! Life with a pet is so much better! Take a look at my Instagram (@juliashutenko) to  keep up with the #LifeOfDiego.

As for this outfit, blue has always been topping the list of my favourite colours. This look is just another proof of that. London is warm right now and this Sundry light dress is perfect for the weather. Its' colour makes me happy every time I look at it and it's definitely going to be a go-to piece this Summer. And how cool are these Oxydo sunnies? Again, this blue is to die for and I can't stop wearing them.

Also, we are at the last stages of my blogs' RELAUNCH, it should happen by the end of this month, so keep an eye on my updates.

Have a great day,

Julia xo
