Brands I Love and Relaunch News

Big news! This is going to be the last post on this version of Julia Shutenko blog and next time I upload something you are going to be introduced to the new design and ... new name of the blog! There's been a lot of changes happening in my life and it's only natural that my blog has to catch up and change along. It's not going to be just an update of the current version - it's going to be a major step up which will hopefully make your experience on my website much more interactive and better. I am going to launch with the most important and personal post I've ever done and I honestly can't wait. And guys, I think all of that might happen in just 2 days! So roll on Sunday!

But for now I hope you enjoy this post from last week. London has so much to offer in terms of locations and stunning backdrops. We shot this while strolling through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park and even though I've been there many times before I have never noticed this beautiful building that is just asking to be photographed.

Also you have probably noticed how often I wear Sundry tops and dresses as well as Genetic jeans. What can I say, these two brands are killing it with perfection!

Have a nice Friday and join me on Sunday for a whole new journey!
Julia x

World Cup with Benefit

Our double trouble team is back! This time me and Tamara from The Glam and Glitter blog are watching football, indulging in some gossip while getting our make-up done and all of it in the chicest pub on Earth - all thanks to Benefit Cosmetics! Let me tell you more...

When the World Cup started a couple of weeks ago I woke up one morning and I was going through my Facebook news feed when something super pink and girly caught my eye. Clicking on the story I learned that Benefit Cosmetics had taken over the second floor of a pub in Covent Garden and turned it into the perfect location for girls to watch football. I knew then and there that I would have to visit it and share it with you guys! I called Tamara and we went to explore this pink heaven. Now let me just list some of the things that are happening in Gabbi's Head pub. You can get your brows waxed and get full make-up done every day plus have a spray tan every Thursday. All of it is complimentary for a suggested donation. All donations go to Refuge - a charity for women and children against domestic violence. You can also learn everything about Benefit products and get a skincare consultation. AH-MAZING, right?! Top it up with some delicious cocktails, snacks, gorgeous surroundings, friendly stuff and football all of which makes it one of the must-visit places in London. Hurry up and go to Gabbi's Head before the World Cup is finished because after that the pub will go back to its old self. I say we should start a petition for keeping this place looking this way forever, what do you think? There are more than enough boring looking pubs in London (okay, maybe not boring, but definitely not fun or girly enough), and there is only one pink Benefit pub.

I hope you enjoy the pictures and I hope I made you want to visit this cool place. Gabbi's Head is located on 1st Floor, 150-151 Drury Lane, London, WC2B 5TB and is opened everyday from 12pm.

PS. Fingers crossed for my blog's RELAUNCH to happen this or next week. I am preparing something very special to share with you that day!

PPS. I hit 10k followers on Instagram last week and wanted to thank you so much for following my blog and making me smile! Love you guys xx

Pink In The City

Happy Friday and happy long weekend! Monday is a bank holiday and that's happy news!

I wanted to show you this outfit that we've shot last weekend and also to admire this cool pink location. I found it near Southbank Centre, London and it is actually just a row of super unusual benches. The moment we finished shooting a group of kids took over and climbed these pink and green hills. Location scouting is a new routine for me that came side by side with blogging. I love it because you find the most unusual places and become much more aware of the surroundings.

As for the dress I'm wearing, it's my old but good hot weather rescuer. It's light and soft and goes so well with a summer tan. My new beach bag will be my closest holiday friend. I love the print and how much I can fit in it.

Hope all of you have a nice weekend planned. Speak soon x

Pretty in Punk with TONI&GUY

Last Saturday I had a pleasure to attend a Fashion Shooters festival organised by Warehouse in order to celebrate their latest campaign shot by Helena Christensen. If you follow me on Instagram (@juliashutenko) you've seen my posts from the day and know how much fun I had and how entertaining this event was. Amongst the variety of activities that I participated in, I also got a chance to have my hair done by the amazing TONI&GUY professionals. I loved what they've created so much that I dedicated this entire post to it.

The hair style I'm wearing is called Pretty in Punk and it's the part of the new Fashion Fix hair 'menu' that you can find in all TONI&GUY salons. The idea behind this new project is to bring catwalk hair to the high-street and make it affordable to us all. It doesn't take long to create these styles and the results are breathtaking.

I have to admit that I hit a hair crisis quite some time ago. Before you've met me on this blog I used to change my haircuts and colour every couple of months since I was 13! I've been icy blond and caramel, I had fringe and even had my hair fully braided (think BeyoncĂ© at her Destiny's Child stage). And two years ago I decided to have a new type of change and grow back my natural hair colour. Right at the same time ombre style became trendy and I haven't done anything ever since. So bored is not even starting to describe how I feel about my hair some days. That's why TONI&GUY's Fashion Fix was exactly what I needed.

Let me know what you think about this hair style and have a great day! xo
