Fashion Journey. October 15th.

Now that the fashion weeks have finished, press days season takes over. Therefore, I have decided to start sharing my fashion journey over the next several weeks. I'll be running from event to event previewing all those collections that will hit the stores next spring. I know, it's a bit brain confusing to be looking at spring/summer clothes and accessories while autumn/winter is only just starting, but that's how the fashion world works. So, what is a press day? As you have probably understood from what you've read a second ago, it's an event during which members of the press get a first look at the next season's collections. Press days are always fun and spectacular events. Brands do their best to recreate the mood and feel of their new collections with an elaborate and creative interior, snacks and drinks.

So, below is what I have seen today, starting with the always mood boosting Paul Frank. It's iconic hero, Julius, has landed himself on nearly any thing you could think of. I mean, you want Julius as your phone case or luggage - you've got it! That also goes for cupcakes, cups, watches, lip balms and (my absolute favourite) onesies! I know, that Paul Frank is sometimes associated with children's stuff, well, not in my case. I can easily see myself living in the Paul Frank store (guilty as charged, I am writing it wearing an adorable Paul Frank dress).

Next stop of the day was the Luxottica press day. Luxottica is a big PR agency that looks after a lot of the top eyewear brands, including Miu Miu, Prada, Versace, Burberry, Ray-Ban, DKNY, Vogue, Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren and many more. It's hard to be focused while in presence of such beauty surrounding you from every stand. Take a look at some of the amazing sunnies I've seen today, which are your favourites?

I then headed to the Melissa Odabash headquarters to swoon over the pretty colours and floaty designs  of their beachwear as well as a new line of jewellery. Is it too early to start planning my next beach holiday? I don't think so.

I finished my day with a stop at Radley's press day where I found myself surrounded by a beautiful spring. See what I mean when I say that interior designs of the events can be simply amazing? Radley is such a perfect example of it.

Stay tuned for more posts from my upcoming fashion journeys and follow me on Instagram to see everything as soon as it happens.

Blue Jeans

Since I was old enough to appreciate a good pair of blue jeans, it was the one item that I couldn't imagine my wardrobe without. Throughout the years they went through all sorts of transformations from straight cut and high waisted, then flared and barely holding on the hips (no need to fight the truth, it was all thanks to a Britney Spears period in my life) to being super skinny (and still exposing more than I ever intended to). So these days, when practically all of the above are back in style and one has a freedom to choose I am happy to welcome these IDA blue jeans into my life. They truly are the combination of some of the styles mentioned above and it creates the most flattering and comfortable result. I love everything about them, from the deep blue colour to their length and the fact that they are high waisted. Bring on the cold weather as there will be no freezing anymore!

I have paired them with a casual yet still somewhat chic blazer, toned it down with a simple white tee and took my favourite Louboutins for a spin. I say it will work for both work meetings and cocktail hour with the girls, right?

Keep having a good week everyone x

Dress Up

Happy Monday everyone! Hope your weekend was great and you are ready to shine through another work week! Mine is looking to be crazy busy with lots of meetings and running around so before it all kicks off I wanted to share this outfit with you.

If I think about my current wardrobe I can say that I am mostly jeans and trousers kind of girl with not too many dresses and skirts to show off. But, once in a while, I get a hold of something very comfortable and what feels like, very me, and my habits change. That's what happened when I tried this dress on! It made me feel girlie, yet, with the right styling, still tough (I'd like to think so). It will also work well when it gets colder outside and bare legs won't be an option anymore.

Since starting this blog I have opened up my mind to all sorts of fashion experiments and it feels great to be changing! Challenging myself is something I enjoy now more than ever and I hope it never stops!

Have a great week x

Black and White

A super quick post to show you my current go-to outfit when I want to feel very comfortable yet still cool. I have picked up this sweater and coated jeans at GAP last week and couldn't be happier with my choice! I have looked for the affordable, yet very good looking wet-effect jeans for quite some time now and had no idea that they were hiding at GAP.

I am also glad to welcome pointy flats back! Last time I owned a pair was during my school years. Then the fashion changed to the round toe styles and after a decade or so, here we are again!

Hope everyone's week is going great! x

Boot Camp

If you, like me, are planning to purchase a pair of new boots this season, then you must know that it's not as easy to make up your mind as it may seem. The choice is big and sometimes that throws me off balance. Sure, I have a vision of the perfect boot in my head (thanks Saint Laurent), but when it comes to reality, I'm lost. I must admit that usually I face the opposite problem when nothing seems to be good enough, but this time it's the issue of narrowing the choices down to just one.

So, here is my wishlist/moodboard with those pairs that inspire me (yes, talking about Saint Laurent again) and those that I can actually afford.

Have you found your perfect pair yet? x
