It's Here!

September is here, so is the autumn and a new season! Looking back at the summer, there's so much to be thankful for, and at the same time, excited for what is yet to come. During just three months of summer, I've, most importantly, got engaged (!!!) on a beautiful beach in Cyprus, visited Sweden and Lithuania and started this blog which has opened so many new possibilities for me, and is consistently making my daily life just that much more interesting.

For the majority of my life, September meant going back to studies and even though I do sometimes feel nostalgic about those times, I have to (naughtily) admit that I don't miss them. After the years of school and Uni I can finally put my knowledge to practice and be who I have always dreamed of being. So this season I am looking forward to everything new and unpredictable that is yet to come and, of course, my birthday at the end of September.

I am greeting autumn with this rather serious outfit, that always makes me feel professional, but not boring at all. A few special words needs to be said about this gorgeous L.K.Bennett bag. This collection has been designed in collaboration with actress Rosamund Pike, she brought some very chic and personal details to the designs. One of them is the little pink neon stripe in the corner of the bag (see below) and the other is the safety pin on one of the zips. That safety pin is a very personal touch, as Rosamund says she never leaves her house without an identical safety pin shaped earring.
So there it is, meet my new favourite bag for the season.

I hope September will treat everyone well xx

Neon Drops

If you are keeping an eye on the fashion websites and various blogs you might recognise these neon By Malene Birger earrings from some of them. They've been under the fashionistas spotlight for awhile now. Somehow they were still hiding in my accessories drawer and I just couldn't find the right occasion to wear them. Until I did yesterday!

So how do you wear such over-the-top statement piece? My answer is dress down. You need to tone everything else in your outfit down to the minimum in order to not resemble a) a Christmas tree b) someone who tries too hard c) looking like you are dressed up to go clubbing in the middle of the day. I chose this casual double denim ensemble and black accessories to leave space for the earrings to shine without making me feel uncomfortable.

I agree, first I felt very conscious of the unusually big and sparkling accessory but it took just a couple of window reflections for me to regain my confidence and feeling chic on a very ordinary Thursday.

It's About Time

It's the middle of the week, the sun is shining, summer isn't going anywhere (please don't) and I wish my days were a bit less busy. But that's just how it is when fashion weeks are just a couple of days away and there is about a thousand of things that need to be done and finalised before. So, it's about time I start (and stop) doing several things: a) pretending that I'm still on holiday - stop! b) thinking about the new season and with it a return to the normal daily routine - start! c) moisturising, haha - continue, continue, continue!
So, as you can pretty much sense, I am enjoying these days as much as possible because London is just amazing!
As I was running in and out all day today, nothing was more comfortable than baggy, casual clothes made from very light fabrics that kept me cool during the heat. Adding a couple of fun details, like a neon bracelet and a watch, as well as (very unusually for me) an animal print bag set a cheerful mood to the whole outfit.
Hope everyone is having a great day x

Harbour Heels

Back to London and back to blogging - it's been a while for both! I have spent a lovely two weeks visiting my family and the return to the reality is always bittersweet. Gladly, there is this beautiful harbour not far from where I live so I can pretend that I'm still on holiday! Taking every opportunity to enjoy these last days of Summer!
I wanted to change my usual comfy sandals and boyfriend jeans to something more girly today. I've had this nude COS dress for a couple of seasons now and it works well in both summer and winter (just add black tights). I especially love how perfectly it matches tanned skin (which I can be proud of only for a very short time throughout the year). And my Louboutins were, funnily enough, very in sync with the whole harbour theme.
What have you been up to? Let me know x
