London Fashion Week, Day 3

On the third day, London Fashion Week brought me two beautiful presentations and the most coveted Topshop Unique show ticket.
I started my day by visiting Smythson New Bond street store for The Panama Legacy Exhibition by Quentin Jones launch. Along with the preview of the new SS14 collection, the collaboration with British artist Quentin Jones was unveiled.

Each of the ten unique artworks focuses on different high profile individuals exploring their relationship with Smythson in the collage style. The exhibition will run in store until 21st September.

I then made my way to Covent Garden Hotel to preview the stunning Manolo Blahnik SS14 collection and the screening of a short film. How do you feel when you find yourself in shoe heaven? It's a feeling that is hard to describe while in the presence of the most intricate and breathtaking shoes. It's also difficult to not think about Carrie Bradshaw while looking at this beauty. And for me, every reminder of Sex and the City is much appreciated!

When I walked into the screening room I felt overwhelmed with the desire to install something similar into my daily life. Just how amazing are these seats?
The short movie starring Rupert Everett and the majority of the new SS14 collection made me forget where I was for just three minutes and teleported me to a parallel shoe reality.

And, finally, it was the time to attend the Topshop Unique show. Even though I was expecting to see some amazing people on the front row, I was blown away when I realised that Anna Wintour and Kate Moss were sitting just in front of me with Sir Philip Green (the owner of Arcadia Group and therefore Topshop) in between them.
The collection itself was so amazing, that I already can't wait for it to hit the stores next year. I couldn't be happier to be among the people who attended the show.

As for my outfit, after two days of killer heels I have decided to give myself a break and be comfortable in these Supra sky tops. I have paired them with my new IDA skinny jeans, that you will be seeing much more of here, on my blog. I just know that they will be my favourite item this season as there are countless ways to style cool jeans like this.

By the way, I am guest-blogging for Donna Ida's Instagram (@donnaidadenim) from the shows these days so make sure you are following the live feed as it happens.

London Fashion Week, Day 2

London Fashion Week, day two has flown by with an incredible speed. As I have mentioned before, this was my busiest fashion week day, with too many shows and events to attend. By the end of the day I was falling off my feet, though still very proud of mastering a whole day in heels! Who said you can't walk in Louboutins?

I have seen so many beautiful clothes, models and catwalks throughout the day! Not to mention the street style around Somerset House which is always inspiring to me!
I have seen shows by Zoe Jordan, The Swedish School of Textiles, Holly Fulton, David Koma and Ashish.

Below you can find a little sneak peaks of some of the shows.

The Swedish School of Textiles.

For the second day I chose this classy but still chic look. This DKNY throw is my go-to item whenever I need to keep warm and these cropped trousers are having a come back (check Victoria Beckham SS14 collection for the inspiration.) I also don't know what I would do without this bag as it perfectly fits a camera, flat shoes, charger for my phone, tickets, make up and wallet.

What do you think about this outfit? And do let me know what you are all up to these days x

London Fashion Week SS14, Day 1

London Fashion Week is here! So I invite you to join me for my trip over the next five days. I am going to take you with me on my journey and will try to give you the Fashion Week experience exactly as it is.

First of all, we have not been lucky with the weather here and the forecast isn't looking promising. It's been drizzling all day today and silly me left home without an umbrella. Remember when Monika in Friends had 'humid hair' issue? Well, this is what I will have to deal with for the next five days. I guess, I'll have to manage!

So from today onwards, my days are starting at 7am. I have planned my outfits beforehand, so that mornings don't turn into a disaster. For day one I went for the casual cool look, pairing my denim dungarees with a smart tailored blazer.

My first stop today was an event in GAP's flagship store. There is nothing better than having a light breakfast in the company of amazing and creative people. I even got my illustration done by the talented Cassandre Montoriol (you can see the result on my Instagram/juliashutenko).

With not a single minute to spare I headed straight to the Fyodor Golan catwalk show. Here is a sneak peak of the front row.

Next followed the presentation by Kilian Kerner at the beautiful Waldorf Hilton hotel.

Quick time for lunch and an outfit shoot. All clothes credits are below.

I then had the pleasure to attend a Design by Shanghai show held in Royal Opera House. What a breathtaking venue and cool collections!

The last show for me today was Jean-Pierre Braganza. And I am off to rest my feet and prepare for the longest day out of five which is tomorrow.
