In The Hood

Do you guys find it easy to style your parka? I admit to having some difficulties during the times when I want something more creative than just a pair of black skinny jeans to go with it. And that's exactly what I've done while choosing this outfit - I put on my black jeans first. And then it just felt so boring! So here I am trying to play a bit more with colours. If I close my eyes and imagine it, green and burgundy do not go together, but I think I made it work on this occasion. Here's the moral- it's always worth trying!
I also chose my comfiest trainers to give this look a truly chilled, casual vibe. We are very lucky with the weather at the moment, so this was a perfect outfit for a stroll outside in the sunshine.

Now, I am off to shoot a very exciting project which you'll see very soon!

Hope this week is going great for all of you guys x

Many Faces

It's a new week and I thought I'd start it with something fun! I felt that I wanted to do something different from the usual outfit post and after browsing through Pinterest for inspiration, I got obsessed with the minimalistic and messy hair kind of images.

I'm happy with the result and I hope you'll enjoy this post too x

Ice Cool

Yesterday was so much fun! For the first time ever I went to an Ice Sculpting Festival held in Londons' Canary Wharf and the whole experience was close to magic!

Of course I have seen the amazing things people do with ice on TV and in pictures before. Yet I had no idea of the actual skill and effort that is involved in the process. We arrived at the festival in the early afternoon and got a chance to witness the very beginning of work. Can you believe that all the intricate masterpieces that you are going to see in this post were once just huge square blocks of ice? It was interesting to witness the first strokes and cuts made to them that would later result in various fashion attributes. Oh did I mention that the theme for the day was Faboulous Fashion? I couldn't be happier about it!

So what have I learned about the actual ice sculpting process? It usually takes two or three people to do it. You'll need a chain saw, an iron, some chisels and angle grinders (all of those set fear into my body, so you might also consider keeping your distance while observing the whole thing). It took six hours for everyone to be done. Oh and one more important aspect is that the ice sculpting teams were very international, with participants from France, England, Sweden, Poland, Ireland, Belgium and Africa among others.

We stayed at the festival until the end of the day to witness the final results lit in the night. It was beautiful!

Have you ever been to an Ice Sculpting festival?  Let me know.

My Personal Shopper

How is it going guys? Hope that first month of 2014 is treating you well and that you've started working on all of your New Years' resolutions.

I am back in London and back in full work mode with almost no time to spare. But I wouldn't be me if I still couldn't find some time for shopping with my friends…without leaving home! Oh and have I mentioned that I also have a personal shopper now?

Am I confusing you guys? Well, things are actually very simple. This year I have started using MALLZEE shopping app on my iPad and I recommend you try it too. What's so special about it? Well, besides having more than 200 fashion brands, Mallzee works in very smart way by personalising their stock just for me, getting rid of what it knows I won't like and leaving me with options that make my shopping basket burst. And the best thing about it is that I am not doing it alone. My friends are within  a one button click, reviewing my choice and commenting on whether I should go for it or not. Mallzee has absolutely revolutionised my online shopping experience!

Get your own personal shopper for the iPhone and iPad for free here and let me know what you think and whether you want my shopping advise!

PS. Below I have created my Mallzee wishlist. What's on yours?

Happy 2014!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I wish all of you the very best in 2014! May all of your family members and friends be healthy, happy and prosperous! And a HUGE THANK YOU for supporting me on my blogging journey throughout 2013!

It's been a very important year for me. The most happy thing that can ever happen to a girl happened and I got engaged! I also started this blog and in such a short time have achieved great things. I've attended London Fashion Week, collaborated with amazing brands and met many fabulous people. And none of it would have been possible without you being interested in my journey and following what I have shown you throughout these months.

I'm still relaxing at home back in Lithuania, enjoying my parents company and cherishing every minute I can spend with my dog. If you follow me on Instagram you should know Teddy very well by now, but for those of you who don't, here's my best friend Teddy aka the star of this post. He's a pretty good poser haha. He is also the best dog in the world!

I hope you'll have as much fun looking through these pictures as we had while shooting them.

Love,
Julia x
